Profile
For exquisite art glassware that impresses (and sparkles) like 47th Street on a sunny day, this beautiful three-room boutique has been the place to beat since 1986. The main room feels like an art gallery, and brims with multicolored, gem-toned vases, dainty glasses and delicate costume jewelry. Unusual necklaces, bracelets by Italy's Sent Sisters abound, Swarovski crystal brooches glitter in their display cases, and Carlo Moretti's signature champagne flutes and tumblers gleam on backlit shelves. The adjacent space is filled with distinctive table settings, some traditional (Deruta), others more contemporary (Lindt Stymeist). Over half the inventory is imported from Venice, long the global capital of colored art glass, with the balance culled from all over the world. Gift-wrapping, shipping, and an extensive bridal registry are also available.
NoteAvventura stocks a large and impressive collection of graceful, hand-blown Venetian glass chandeliers and lanterns.
